you don't know my name

yup. i'm about to show you a bunch of stuff that i don't know what their names are. would that prevent me from trying it all? hell no!

as i mentioned in an earlier post, before i went to see the movie 1000 journals at the kabuki, i went into Nijiya Market to grab some lunch. as you can see from this posting, i got a bit carried away...and i'm not even going to show you all of the pictures i took. i know that is a bit hard to believe...but trust me... this is only a fraction of the pictures that i took that day. if i had more time, i would have taken even more! there is something about the way that the japanese do food packaging that sucks me in. speaking of getting sucked in...if you want a closer look at anything, feel free to click on the picture and in most cases you'll see a larger version of it.... are you ready? ok, here we go.

some sweet stuff....

i think this is sweet stuff...

hhmmmm. candy! candy! candy!

some savory stuff...

wonderfully addicting salty sweet sesame stuff on the left..this was the stuff that kept me busy while waiting for c-man to dance.

look fresh quail eggs!

prepared foods togo....

sushi...

it is times like these that i wish i had a metabolism of a hobbit. who am i kidding? i wish i had a metabolism of a hobbit every day. let me rephrase then...it it times like these that i wish i had the metabolism of 100 hobbits that were all independently wealthy.
ahhh, much better. note that "independently wealthy" is an important component in supporting the metabolism of hobbits that eat in san francisco. why not inject a sense of practicality into one's fantasies?
