toasty layers

it would seem that i have developed two very prominent habits these days. one habit consists of toasting anything remotely bready-cakey-morning-buny and the other habit consist of making homemade conserves using agave.

there is a lot of experimenting going on these days. some results are good, some results are not so good.

yet, today i implemented a particularly successful experiment that consisted of toasting some sponge cake, slathering on two kinds of homemade conserve....in this instance it was a plum conserve and blackberry conserve...

then i stacked them up to create lovely layers......and added a couple of spoonfuls of thick and creamy greek yogurt with a dash of blueberries.

it was absolutely yummy. who said that toast and jam had to be ordinary?
