chikalicious (dessert club)

i've definitely fallen behind on blogging.

i have eaten so much wonderful food during this visit to nyc. it is difficult to believe that i'll be headed home tomorrow. one of the places that i have enjoyed quite a bit was a visit to chikalicious (the dessert club location)

in the village. there were quite a few options to choose from....

after some deep contemplation, i decided up on a salted caramel macaron which was very light.......

as well as a chocolate eclair....

which was absolutely positively divine. the quality of chocolate was excellent and was not overly sweet. the pate a choux was tender. this is a "not for kids" dessert. speaking of a "not for kids" dessert, i also couldn't resist and ordered the "adult" chocolate pudding.....

which was a scoop of rich dark chocolate pudding over some chocolate streusel crumbs. it was very good.

overall, it was a lovely experience to add to my new york memories. i think the next time i am in new york, i'll have to try to chikalicious location across the street which is a sit down prix fixe that includes an amuse, dessert, petit fours, with wine pairing options. hmmmmmm, it will give me yet another thing to look forward to when i visit new york once more. i foresee many visits to new york in my future.
